Wolf Brigade was originally recorded as a live podcast for http://www.imprintthisonyourmind.co.uk/ at ‘My First Recorder’ studios Belfast, and it was an opportunity to record tracks we never thought we would get the chance to lay down this year, so we took the chance to use the live recordings and master them at Studio 6 Swindon (Annotations Of An Autopsy, Bring Me The Horizon, Ingested), for the final result.

Bio:

Gacy’s Threads are a 5 piece hardcore metal band established in late 2007.

Each member is a seasoned musician, drawn together by the urge to create an energetic, confronting and non compromising style of music.

Taking their main influences from artists such as Converge, Dillinger Escape Plan, Every Time I die and Norma Jean but planning on infusing it with each of their musical roots and influences to create something unique.

To date, the band have been constantly touring Ireland and had a short tour of Hungary.

Released a self produced demo, ‘Eunuch’, a 4 track E.P, ‘Savour Your Scars’, and a new Live Ep ‘Wolf Brigade’ out Oct 2010.

Supported acts such as Fear Factory, Cancer Bats, August Burns Red, Horse the Band, IWRESTLEDABEARONCE, Carcer City Fucked Up, and The Luchagors.

Requirements of new guitarist:

- 18+

- Must have own gear (head an cab), experience in gigging and recording.

- Willingness to commit to a tight tour schedule.

- Own transport is a major plus (even a driving a licence, and if – over 25 for van driving along with another member), but not essential.

- Practice 3 times a week at Grosvenor Road Business Centre (wed evening, fri evening, sun afternoon) £20 per month

- Willingness to travel abroad, and to travel north to south of Ireland for shows.

- Open minded to add interesting aspects to song writing and ideas regarding merch/promotion/ and general duties within the band.

- Cash flow… willingness to pitch in on band merch/pertrol/gig costs. And ability to cover personal costs of equip and transport.

- Must be accessible, ie: text messages/emails/facebook – nothing is worse than trying to organise things with zero feedback.

- Sense of humour and up for a bit of banter amongst a serious outlook on the bands goals.

Yeah that’s right folks we supported the legendary FEAR FACTORY in the Spring and Airbrake Belfast on Tues 3rd Aug. A nearly sold out show with over 550 heads through the door and many of whom were lining the barrier for us.

A big thanks to all the people who piled into watch us, it really made us feel appreciated. Thanks to everyone who grabbed some merch and to those who managed to get a free 2 track promo (140 passed out so apologies for those who didn’t get one). Thanks to and all at CDC for giving us such an amazing opportunity, and making it a dream come true and the guys at Wakiki for doing such an amazing job on light and sound. Thanks to all our stage hands and merch folk for making everything run so smoothly.

Fear Factory were the nicest bunch of lads ever, got to hang back stage for ages and get pics and signatures and just generally was made to feel welcome and they expressed how great the Belfast audience was, and how they loved how well the crowd responded to them after a 9 year absence.

They def went out of their way to give back to the fans be choosing to walk through the venue and on and off the bus for everyone to meet them, words can’t describe the buzz I’m on right now.

Again, cheers everyone for giving us the experience of a lifetime.
